This is your first step — a thoughtful set of questions designed to help you begin reflecting on your child and your family before we meet, so our time together can be focused, meaningful, and truly tailored to you.
There are no right or wrong answers. It's simply an invitation to slow down and put words to what you've already been noticing about your child.
What Happens Next — Continued Support for Heart & Mind Clients
Completing your consultation makes you an official Heart & Mind client and unlocks access to a range of ongoing support options — from post-consultation email support to tour prep, decision debriefs, and monthly ongoing access. Every package is designed exclusively for families who have completed a one-on-one consultation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you tell me which schools are the best? No — and that's intentional. The best school isn't the same for every child or family. Rather than handing you a list, the consultation gives you the tools, framework, and confidence to evaluate schools through your own family's lens and make a decision that truly fits.
What is the pre-consultation questionnaire? After booking your session, you'll receive a questionnaire to complete before we meet. It covers your child's personality, learning style, and developmental profile, as well as your family's values, priorities, and what you're hoping to walk away with. It takes most families 20–30 minutes to complete and makes our time together significantly more focused and productive.
Is this virtual or in person? All one-on-one consultations are conducted virtually, making it easy to connect from wherever you are in Arizona — or beyond.
What if my child has additional needs? Many families I work with are navigating school choice for a child with a diagnosis, developmental difference, or additional support needs. The consultation is well suited for these families — we can discuss inclusion models, IEP considerations, what to look for in a school environment, and how to advocate effectively during the search process.
What if we're already mid-search? That's a great time to connect. We can use the session to refine your lens, talk through what you've already seen, interpret tour impressions, and help you prioritize next steps with confidence. You don't need to be at the beginning to benefit.
